FashionPass - My New Obsession











Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far. I had to share with you all my new obsession with FashionPass. I am sure you all are wondering what it is. If you have heard of Rent the Runway before then you will be a little familiar with the concept. 

So FashionPass is an online/monthly membership where you can rent name brand clothing. Unlike Rent the Runway which is mainly used for more formal events such as black tie events and weddings, Fashion Pass has a ton of casual clothing as well. Workout Supplements + Fitness Update





Hey guys!! It has been awhile since I have given you all an update on my fitness routine/workout supplements. This is probably the number one question that I get from all of you so I am happy to give you all an update. I am going to start off by telling you all about the workout supplements that I take on a daily basis because I truly believe that this has helped me improve my workout results tremendously and I can't imagine not incorporating these into my daily workout routine. 

I actively use WMNutrition products on a daily basis. In this blog post I will talk about each product that I use and what I love about each one. 

Let's start with the product you see in the pictures above. It is one of my favorite products that WMNutrition makes called AdvantraSlim. This is a great product for weight management and really helps to curb your appetite. I swear by it. I have a huge appetite and a big sweet tooth so this stuff has worked like a dream for me. 
  • What does it do? AdvantraSlim curbs carvings for up to 4 hours. It contains a fast-acting formula called Slendesta which is an all-natural ingredient that is clinically shown to suppress appetite. It also helps to boost mood and energy because it contains natural caffeine. This is great for me because before I started using this stuff I usually felt pretty tired a lot throughout the day and I always wanted to snack. 
  • How do you take it? It comes in single served packets that are really easy to open and to use on the go. I usually pour the packet into 6-8 oz of water, shake it up, and drink it all at one time. 
  • When is the best time to take it? I always drink mine 15-20 minutes before any meal. So I take it about 15 minutes before eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 
  • What are the benefits? I have noticed a good reduction in my appetite. I don't overstuff myself at meals anymore. This stuff has really helped me with portion control because I feel full quicker than I used to. Not eating as much has definitely helped me not feel as bloated and has helped me with weight loss. 


I also love this All-Natural Protein from WMNutrition. Protein is SO important to go along with a healthy fitness routine and diet and this stuff is the best that I have tried. Not to mention it tastes amazing. My favorite flavor that they have is the Blueberry and the Cookies and Cream. 
  • What does it do? This All-Natural Protein is great for helping to rebuild muscle after a workout. It also helps to give you extra energy, especially if you drink it with carbs (like a banana) and it reduces exposure to muscle damage. When you take protein regularly with a regular exercise routine, it helps with healthy muscle growth and will help you to see results faster. Who doesn't want that??
  • How do you take it/best time to take it? This comes in a single serve, easy open packet just like the AdvantraSlim, which I love. It already measures out exactly how much you need to use. I usually mix it with 6-12 ounces of water about 30 minutes after my workout. I think think this is the best time to drink it because intaking protein 30 minutes after a workout will help to enhance your results. You can also use this as a snack or for any meal replacement if you are trying to lose weight. I also make a lot of smoothies for lunch and I add one packet of this protein powder into my smoothies! My smoothies consist of protein powder, one scoop of organic peanut butter, kale, spinach, frozen blueberries, frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, and almond milk. :)





My other favorite WMNutrition product is this amazing PreWorkout. It was sooo hard for me to find a good PreWorkout to use. Most of them made me really shaky and I felt like I had way too much caffeine before a workout. This stuff is amazing. It is the only PreWorkout that I will use. Just to let you know, I do not take the full serving. I only take half. I feel like half of the packet is all that I need for it to work well. 

  • What does it do? This PreWorkout allows you to train and workout at your full potential. For me, it provides a physical boost that I need before an intense workout. It gives me just enough energy to allow me to get through my workouts easier and to push past limits that I would normally probably not be able to push past. Taking PreWorkout before my workouts has really been so beneficial for me. This stuff also helps to increase your metabolic rate which allows you to burn more calories during your workout and also helps with muscle enhancement.
  • How do you take it? This PreWorkout also comes in single served packets which makes it SO easy to take on the go. Instead of having to mix this with water, you can just pour the contents directly into your mouth. However, if you would prefer to drink it, you can also mix it in with 6-8 ounces of water. Like I mentioned earlier, I only take half of the packet at a time. I pour half of it directly into my mouth because I think it tastes really good and then I just put the other half of the packet in a zip lock bag and save it for the next day. That way I am not wasting any of the product!
  • When is the best time to take it? I always take it just 10-15 minutes before my workout. I live about 10-15 minutes away from my gym so I usually take it right before I leave for the gym or on my way. I always keep these packets in my purse so I always have them when I need them. 
  • What are the benefits? I think the main benefit is just having an extra increase in energy which allows you to have a better workout. When I don't take this PreWorkout before my workouts, I can tell a significant difference in how much I am able to get done. It truly has been a life change for me with my workout routine. I love it.

Now for a little update on my fitness routine! I am still actively doing the Kayla Itsines BBG program. I am currently on week 63 and it has been one of the most amazing workout routines I have ever done. I have seen the biggest results in my legs but I have also seen amazing results with my abs and my arms. The harder I workout, the longer I stick to it, and the healthier I eat, the better results I see. I have already written a more in depth blog post about the BBG program which you can read here (you can also find it on my blog under the "Fitness" tab). However, I wanted to answer a few quick questions that I get from a lot of you guys on the program:
  • Is this workout an app? Yes, you can download the app from any app store and it is called the Sweat app. However, I have heard that there is a PDF version that you can purchase as well if you don't want to do the app. I think the app is easier because it is already on your phone, leads you seamlessly through the workouts, and has timers that go off to help let you know when you are done with workouts. 
  • How much does it cost? The Sweat app is only $19.99 a month which is a steal for the amazing results that you will see! 
  • Can you do these workouts at home? You can but I highly recommend going to a gym. This program does require a good bit of equipment so I think doing the workouts at a gym is much easier than trying to do them at home, unless you already have a bunch of your own gym equipment. You can definitely substitute some of the equipment for things that you already have at your house, but again, I just think it is easier to do at a gym. 
  • What workouts does the BBG program include? It includes 3 different high intensity circuits (legs, arms, and abs), and includes 3 full days of cardio. 
  • Does BBG have a meal program? Yes, it does. However, I do not tend to follow it. I just try and eat as healthy and as clean as I can. For those of you who do want to follow a meal program, then you can definitely follow one with BBG. I am sure the results would be even better by doing this!
  • How long do the workouts last? The 3 circuit workouts last about 30 minutes each and the cardio lasts about 35 minutes. There is also a cardio day called HITT which lasts for 15 minutes. I like doing HITT on days when I don't have as much time to be in the gym. 
  • Do you have to do  certain workouts on certain days? No, you don't. The app does include a calendar schedule and it tells you what workout to do on what day (for example, legs on Monday, cardio on Tuesday, arms on Wednesday, etc.) but you don't have to use it. This is a good tool for those of you that do want to be told everyday what to do. I make sure to get all 3 cardio sessions in every week and all 3 circuits in every week but I decide week after week which circuit/cardio session I want to do on which day. 
I also wanted to let y'all know that I have been doing a new workout  called the Fitter Program. This is a program that one of my best blogger friends, Bess Carter, started. It is absolutely amazing! I have been doing this along side with the BBG program and it has been a lot of fun switching it up and adding in some new workouts. Let me tell you a little bit more about the Fitter Program
  • It is an 8-week program with 3 different levels. So no matter where you are in your fitness journey, there is a starting pace for you. The program comes with a schedule of exactly what to do every day, and has a cardio workout section for the cardio days. 
  • It also has a nutrition section with healthy recipes and how to make eating right an effortless part of your life so that you can still enjoy the food that you love and see results. It also tells you what to eat before and after a workout.
  • Most of the circuit workouts can be done in under 30 minutes. They are designed to burn fat, build & tone lean muscle, increase cardiovascular endurance, and give you freedom from spending hours on a cardio machine and not seeing any results. 
  • The circuit workouts can be done from home (which I LOVE!). All you need are a pair of dumbbells. My friend Bess suggests a lighter pair and a heavier pair to start, but if you only have one, that will work! She tries to make it easy. As we all know, working out can be intimidating to a lot of people so she has created this program that will work for a variety of different levels that can be done from your own home if that is what your schedule and comfort level allows. 

I have been incorporating the Fitter Program into my workout routine for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. I LOVE how you can do it at home and how it doesn't require as much equipment as BBG. It is so perfect on days when I don't feel like going to the gym. I have used it for a shorter amount of time and I already feel stronger and leaner. The cardio workouts are also amazing. I highly, highly recommend that you try this program. Valentine's Day with Express












Valentine's Day will be here before we know it! I am not going to lie, I am not a huge Valentine's Day fan BUT I do love an excuse to go on a good date night with my hubby. And Valentine's Day is an awesome day to let your special someone know how much you love them and to celebrate that. Also, let's talk about Galentine's Day. I remember celebrating Galentine's Day a time or two in Charlotte when I hadn't met my husband yet and it was soooo much fun. Girlfriends are just as important as significant others in our life so if you aren't celebrating Valentine's Day with your man, make sure that you are having a great night celebrating with all of your girls.

Okay, so let's talk about the rest of this look. This white bodysuit pairs perfectly with this skirt. I love wearing bodysuits with any skirt because you don't have to worry about having to tuck your shirt in all the time. What I love most about this bodysuit is how great of a staple piece it is to have in your closet. It is so simple and is one of those pieces that you could wear over and over again with so many outfits. It also comes in 2 other colors; black and light pink. I would say that this one also runs true to size but if you are in between sizes I would go with one size up. I am wearing an XS but could have also done the S. And can we talk about this boyfriend blazer?? I am not going to lie, I have never worn a boyfriend blazer before but I am so glad that I decided to get this one. I am now hooked!! I think this blazer tops this entire look off. It gives it such a fun yet girly edge to the entire outfit and also serves as the perfect little lightweight jacket for the cooler temps. I will definitely be bringing this blazer with me to my New York trip in a few weeks to New York Fashion Week! :) For accessories, I decided to go with these beautiful ombre pink diamond earrings and a good pair of nude heels. I really love how the earrings bring out the pop of pink in the skirt!

Mumu and Macaroons Turns One!!!













I cannot believe that Mumu and Macaroons turns one year old today!!!!! When I started this journey exactly 1 year ago, I had no idea what to expect. All I knew is that I loved fashion and needed some kind of creative outlet. I started this as a hobby, having NO idea what it would turn into. Exactly 1 year ago today, I took a leap of faith and finally started what I told myself for 5 years that I would; I started my own fashion blog. 

These past 12 months have been nothing short of amazing. It has been a roller coaster ride for sure. Some days I think to myself "what am I doing???" (like everyone does sometimes with any job) but most days I think about how lucky I am to be able to live out my passion and I truly wouldn't change one second of it.

So since there are 12 months in a year, I wanted to share with you all 12 reasons why I love blogging so much: 

1) I absolutely love fashion and I am able to share my favorite clothes/accessories with all of you. 

2) I have learned so much about photography and have met and become good friends with some of the best photographers in the Charlotte area. 

3) I am able to travel more and share my experiences with all of you. 

4) I have met SO many other amazing bloggers who have truly become some of my best friends and share my same passion. 

5) I have been able to write and share my heart with you guys. This is something that has been the biggest blessing throughout my journey. I have written about very real situations in my life and you guys have given me SO much love through all of it. Writing for my blog is very therapeutic for me. 

6) I have met so many amazing owners and employees at some of my favorite boutiques and companies. The relationships that I have been able to build just within the first year are priceless. 

7) I have been able to network with so many people in the Charlotte area and have been able to meet so many other amazing entrepreneurs and business owners. 

8) I have been able to make this my full time job (something that I will forever be so grateful for)!!! 

9) I have found a way to turn my passion into a business which is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. 

10) I have been able to attend various events that I would have never been able to attend before such as New York Fashion week (coming up in 2 weeks) and the RewardStyle Conference in Dallas this April. 

11) I have been able to build such a positive network of other women who constantly lift others up. I said this earlier but I have made so many amazing friends through blogging and they are each so inspiring and uplifting. Theres girls embody what it truly means to kill jealousy and competition and to really push each other to strive and be the best that we can be. 

12) I have the BEST followers in the entire world. Seriously, each and every one of you mean so much to me. So many of you have reached out to me, sometimes saying things so sweet that it brings tears to my eyes, and I can't say enough how much I appreciate you. 

I have said it once and I will say it again, this past year has been INCREDIBLE. Never in a million years would I have thought my blog would be where it is today. I am so grateful and so happy to be able to share my love for fashion, fitness and Jesus with all of you. To God be ALL the glory. Without Him, none of this would be possible. And without you guys, my amazing followers, this big dream of mine would never have come true. So THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart.
