I hope that everyone had the best weekend! As you all know, I went to New York this past weekend with some of my friends to attend New York Fashion Week and we had an absolute blast. We were only there for 2 days but boy was it fun. I am now currently on the way to Miami to shoot with Vestique this week. I went straight from our hotel in Times Square to JFK and I am writing this as I am sitting in the airport waiting to board the flight. It’s definitely been a very busy couple of days but I have loved every second of it.

NYFW was even more fun than I thought it was going to be and I think it is because of the amazing ladies that I was with. I went with the best group of girls and my photographer Deeana. It was zero drama and ALL fun. The first night we got there we attended the Sherri Hill fashion show and then went to go grab drinks and eat at Nobu. The second day we all woke up really early to start shooting some of our New York looks. Some of the girls went to other fashion shows, some went to other parts of New York to shoot, and others just shot some looks around our hotel. It was nice all being able to kind of do our own thing but then meet up after everything was done. That night we went to the Mac Duggal Fashion show (which was amazing!!!), went by Beauty & Essex for cocktails and some apps, then made our way to Lavo to eat a late dinner. I can’t tell y’all how much fun it was. I think we all laughed until our stomachs hurt. Isn’t that always the best? If you are making a trip to New York soon and need some good dinner spot recommendations then definitely make sure to stop by Nobu, Beauty & Essex, and Lavo. They were all absolutely amazing. If you go by Beauty & Essex you have to get their tuna tartare tacos. They were to die for! I will try and do a full blog post recap of New York for you guys soon and show you all of the looks that I wore when I was there!

Before I get on this flight to Miami, I wanted to share with y’all one of my favorite new dresses from Vestique- this olive green wrap dress. I love it because it is simple yet so cute at the same time. It is a great staple piece to have and can be worn and styled so many ways. The wrap design on the side is my absolute favorite part about it. Not to mention, it is SO comfy. These tan wedge sandals that I am wearing with it are an amazing dupe for the Marc Fisher ones and are only $40!!! They are going fast so make sure to grab a pair before they fully sell out. I also linked some similar pairs above and below. I also love this look paired with this BaubleBar gold necklace, which is one of my favorite necklaces that I have ever owned. It’s an awesome touch to any outfit.

I hope you all have a great start to your week. I will be checking in again soon! And stay tuned to my Instagram stories for some Miami fun. 🙂

Instead of sharing a verse today I wanted to share with you all some lyrics from a song called Control by Tenth Avenue North that has been on replay for me. It is such an amazing song and really speaks a lot of truth. Really think about these lyrics as you read them: “God You don’t need me but somehow you want me. Oh, how You love me. Somehow that frees me to take my hands off of my life and the way it should go. Somehow that frees me to open my hands up and give You control. I give You control.”

XOXO,

Katy
