Go To Hair Products for a Fabulous Mane

Inside: Learn what products are staples in my hair care regime and what I find myself reaching for over and over!

I get asked all the time about what are some of my favorite hair care products and I figured today was the day I need to get them all written down so that I have a place for you to refer back to!

These are products I’ve used for a LONG time and keep buying over and over.

Depending on your hair texture and length, you may need more or less than me, but I tried to include the things that would work for most hair types!

For reference, my hair is pretty normal. Not too oily and not too dry. I also have hair that’s on the thicker side so take that into consideration when looking through these products!

Hairspray

This Session Spray by Kevin Murphy hair spray is THE BEST.

It’s lightweight and not sticky but it does a great job with holding your style. There are different hold strengths, but I personally use and love the flex level hold and it’s perfect for what I need!

Leave in Treatment

it's a 10 leave in treatment with keratin laying on the

It’s a 10 is some AMAZING stuff. I can’t say enough about it.

I spray this in damp hair after every my time I wash my hair and use it as a detangler/leave in conditioner.

There is a version of this without keratin in it that I love almost just as much but I feel like for me with thicker hair, the added keratin adds a little extra goodness.

My favorite part about this is it’s super affordable so even though I go through it super quickly, it doesn’t break the bank when I have to buy it a million times a year!

Dry Shampoo

I only wash my hair once every 5 or 6 days. Like I said, my hair isn’t overly oily and I’m not sure if you know this but the less you wash your hair, the better it is!

You can train your hair to be less oily but it may take a while.

In between washes this Moroccanoil is hands down my go to dry shampoo. Since I have brunette hair, I use the dark tones, but if you have lighter hair, they do have a light tones that may fit for you. This helps me stretch my hair washing and it smells SO good!

Frizz Tamer

My ohhhhh my.

I don’t know that there are enough words that I know to describe how incredible this Dream Coat spray is.

I mean it literally is a dream!

It helps a ton with frizz from humidity. I use it in damp hair and then immediately blow dry.

It is activated with heat so you have to dry your hair with it. It leaves your hair super silky and helps fight humidity all day. I live in the south and can attest to the fact that it really does help with this!

Leave in Oil

I know I use It’s a 10, but I also love this BB Hairdresser’s leave in oil too!

I actually use them together. I put this in my damp hair after I wash it and after I put in the It’s a 10 leave in treatment with keratin.

My hairdresser told me that it’s super important to also use an oil in your hair because it can help prevent any kind of damage that chemicals in your shampoo or conditioner might cause.

If you already have oily hair, you might feel like this can be a product to skip, but I think you could even use it with oily hair as well because it helps with heat protection too. Regardless of hair type, we all want to keep our locks as lucious as we can 🙂

Hair Growth

divi scalp serum

This is actually a newer product in my regime and I’m LOVING the addition.

I have been using this Divi Scalp Serum a couple of months now to help with hair growth.

I gotta say so far I really like it! I use it on days I wash my hair and apply it directly to my scalp. It smells super good and leaves a little tingle which let me know it’s working!

Root Cover Up

This mama’s got grays! I’m not embarrassed by them because it’s shown how far I’ve come and how much life I’ve lived and I’m okay with that at all.

But I do love this L’Oreal Magic Root Cover Up.

It really is magic, y’all! I use this usually the week before it’s about time for me to get my grays dyed. It works perfectly!

Harper’s Hair

I get SO many questions about what I use in Harper’s hair.

Wanna know a secret?

I DON’T KNOW! Ha!

She just turned two, but I would actually love for some suggestions on some things to use on these amazing little ringlets so if any of you amazing people have any ideas, I’m open to hear them pretty pretty please!

Until then, hope this post was super helpful!
