Look Cute Pregnant Without Maternity Clothes

Inside: If you don’t want to spend a fortune on maternity clothes, here are my favorite tips for how to dress during pregnancy without maternity clothes!

Being able to carry babies is an absolute joy and something I don’t take for granted.

One of my favorite things is seeing how little maternity clothes I can get away with buying!

I know some of you are the same way and so I wanted to come and help share my favorite tips for you when it comes to dressing up that super cute bump without spending money on maternity clothes you may never get to wear again!

My only caveat to this is that if you’re going to be getting maternity photos or you have a baby shower, you should absolutely splurge if you want to! Those photos live forever and you want to feel beautiful 🙂

There are 2 ways to approach styling your bump: tight and fitted to show off the curves or flowy maxi dresses and comfy leggings/tops. Either way, you have tons of options for non-maternity maternity clothes.

Smocked Dresses

Smocked outfits are one of my favorite ways to show off a bump, regardless of size.

The material can be form fitting but grow with you as your belly grows and can last nearly your entire pregnancy!

Sporty

This shift dress from Abercrombie is my absolute GO TO! I wore a different version of it when we went to Carowinds a little while ago and if I could live in this thing, I would!

It’s sooo comfy and it has built in shorts so I feel like I’m not showing too much even though I may not be able to see my toes at the moment 🙂

Long, Flowy Maxi Dresses

I love wearing smocked dresses in the summer that are stretchy and comfy but show off the bump just like this amazing smocked maxi dress here.

Gone are the days when all you had to wear were boxy dresses with no shape while pregnant. Having a dress means you’re comfy, but can still look polished.

Another option is this GORGEOUS off the shoulder Revolve dress. This would be so perfect if you had a baby shower or a maternity photo shoot.

I’m also planning on doing a post for you guys about maternity photo shoot ideas too so be on the lookout for that!

Cute and Casual

The fabric of this super cute tank dress is so cute and the little knot on the bottom adds a little flair so you can totally dress this up or down.

Perfect Summer to Fall Transition

This lightweight dress is the perfect way to transition into the cooler months!

Since we are in the south, who knows when it will actually get cooler, but I can see myself wearing this dress over and over, even as we get towards the end of our pregnancy. I’m SO ready to meet this sweet baby boy!

Fall to Winter Cozy Maternity Outfit Ideas

In cooler weather I’m all about leggings and with oversized sweaters and sweatshirts! It’s the best way to stay comfortable when you’re waddling everywhere you go.

You can always wear stretchy black non-maternity leggings with oversized sweaters and sweatshirts.

You can also take normal jeans and put a Mae band on with long shirts and sweaters. That is a great option to not have to buy maternity jeans!

Any tight and/or smocked dresses like I showed above look great in the fall with jackets over them. I love pairing dresses with shackets, cardigans, leather jackets and denim jackets especially for fall transition.

I got so many things this year at the Nordstrom Sale that will be great this season for the growing bump and I’m super excited about it.

There are so many stylish and affordable options out there that you don’t have to spend a fortune on maternity clothes. These tips will help you look put together and feel great throughout your entire pregnancy – no matter what stage you’re at.

Happy shopping!
