Leather Skort Perfection

Okay, ya'll. I CANNOT get enough of this outfit!!!! I am so in love it's not even funny and I hope that you all love it as much as I do. The best part about this outfit is that it is a little out of the norm for me. I think I have told y'all this before but wearing a lot of black isn't usually my thing. I tend to stick more towards lighter colors and neutral colors. But after wearing this outfit, I think I have changed my opinion on black. I think I will be wearing A LOT more of it. :)

So let's talk about this skirt. It is perfection!!! I love how it's a skort and fits like shorts but it really looks like a skirt. The leather feels like great quality and it fits true to size. I am a normal size 2 and bought a 2 in this and it was perfect. I love it paired with this keyhole bodysuit. You guys already know how I feel about bodysuits so this topped off this look perfectly for me. I love the design of the bodysuit and how it goes with this black leather skort like a match made in heaven. This outfit just screams edgy, sassy, sophisticated, chic-all at the same time. Pair it with these black lace up heels and bam you've got yourself a killer outfit. This look is perfect for any date night with your love or any night out with your girls.

How has everyone's week been so far? I am so glad that the week is halfway over! I have had a good week but having a little bit of a tough time dealing with some family issues so please say prayers. I hope you all have a BLESSED rest of the week and a fabulous weekend.

Charleston Fashion Week

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I wanted to give you a all a recap on my trip last weekend to Charleston for Charleston Fashion Week. I went with 3 other bloggers, Vanessa Krombeen, Bailey Schwartz, and Bess Carter. We had a great time! Friday night we got ready and went straight to the fashion show. It was so much fun seeing all of the designer's clothing and seeing the models work the runway. On Saturday we spent our day at Rainbow Row and had brunch at Cru Cafe (which is SO good if you haven't tried it). Saturday night we got ready for the fashion shows again and then went and grabbed dinner at Macintosh. They have the absolute best cocktails! Next time you're in Charleston you will definitely have to check them out.

All of the outfits that I wore in Charleston are above and I linked everything for you under each outfit. The first outfit is from Vestique and it is probably one of my favorite outfits of all time. They are sold out online however they do have some sizes left in stores so you can always email them or reach out on Instagram for them to try and find your size in store. I also linked a very similar 2 piece wrap set made by Flynn Skye from Revolve. I am also obsessed with this one. During the day on Saturday and Sunday I wore two of my new Show Me Your Mumu outfits which I loveeee. The print on the first dress is so cute and absolutely perfect for Spring. I also love the tie top with the lilac skirt. The skirt is so comfy and would look good with any kind of white top.

For the actual Fashion Show nights I wore the red jumpsuit and the mauve colored dress. I am so obsessed with the red jumpsuit. I love anything red and as soon as I saw this jumpsuit online I knew I had to grab it to wear in Charleston. It gives such a statement! I also love the dress that I wore paired with the lace choker. Lace chokers are so on trend right now and I was so excited to wear it. I think it paired perfectly with the dress. I grabbed the white Rebecca Minkoff envelope clutch to go with this outfit right before we left for our trip. If you don't have an envelope clutch yet made by her, you need one! They are so perfect and can be used for any special occasion. They also come in so many different colors. :)

Hope you all have a great Monday and a great start to your week!

The Perfect Match

I CANNOT get over how OBSESSED I am with this whole entire outfit. Sorry for the all caps but it is sooooo true! This is probably one of my favorite outfits that I have ever worn. I have written a post before about how much I love Show Me Your Mumu's Carlos Swing shorts but I will do it again. They are the best shorts hands down that you will ever find. They are high waisted, they are flowy, they look like shorts, but they swing like a skirt. Best of all, they are SO comfy. What more could you ask for in a pair of shorts??

Normally Mumu has a ton of really colorful prints which I usually love. But I do like how the print on these shorts is a little toned down. I love the neutral whites, greens, and blues together. It makes a statement without being too much. And this crochet lace up top. *Insert a ton of heart eye emojis here*. I just CAN'T get over how much I love this top and how perfectly it paired with these shorts. The best part about this top is that it is super comfortable too. I felt like I was wearing pajamas with this whole outfit. Super comfortable but also super cute. This shirt could be worn with so many other bottoms. It would look great with blue jeans, white jeans, jean shorts, a maxi skirt, a denim skirt etc. You name it and it would look great. I really want to wear the top with high waisted white skinny jeans. I think it would look SO good. I love a good all neutral colored outfit for the warmer weather.

I think all of you can tell that I really do love this entire outfit. Sorry for being so annoying about it. :) You will also see me post a ton of other outfits in these shorts but in different prints. Every time Mumu comes out with a new print in these I want to buy them. So this will definitely not be the last time you see these beauties. Now only 2 more days until the weekend!

Dusk Till Dawn Mini Dress

Happy Monday everyone! I am so glad to say that the Monday work day is over. Mondays are always the hardest for me and I'm sure they are for everyone else. It's just a sad reminder that the weekend is already over. I am SO sorry for not posting last night like I normally do. I got back from Charleston Fashion Week and I was exhausted so I unpacked and went to bed really early. CFW was so much fun! I will write a blog post recapping our fun trip either this week or next so definitely keep an eye out for that!

I wanted to talk a little bit about one of my favorite Free People dresses. I am obsessed with everything about this dress. The detailing on it is absolutely gorgeous. It is unlike any dress I have ever seen. I also love how it's a "mini" dress and is perfect for the Spring and Summer. It also has the cutest little tie back as you can see in one of the pictures. I paired this dress with open toe booties but it would be amazing with wedges. I think that any taupe, tan, or gray colored wedges would go perfectly with this. I can't wait to wear it again once it gets warmer outside.

This dress definitely fits true to size. I am a normal size 2 and bought the size 2. I am also a little bit on the bustier side so I was worried about it being way too scandalous on me but it actually fit just right. So if you are on the bustier side, don't worry, you will still be able to pull this off! This dress comes in 3 different colors. There's the lilac color that I am wearing here, a black color, and then a cream and blue. All 3 are gorgeous. It was so hard for me to decide which color to get. This is hands down one of my favorite dresses. I don't think I have ever gotten so many compliments on a dress. Free People is one of my favorite brands because of their unique clothing and style. They definitely did not disappoint when it comes to this dress. AND it's on SALE right now!!!! I found it at Dillard's for 50% off so now is the best time to get it! Everything is linked for you above and below.

My Kimono Obsession

Okay, so let's talk about my obsession with kimonos. I absolutely LOVE them! They are so boho chic and can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, I love how they come in all different lengths, all different colors, all different patterns, and all different fabrics. They are seriously so versatile.

The one I linked here was from and unfortunately it is sold out. Their stuff sells out SO fast so if you ever see anything you want from there definitely grab it quickly. If you haven't checked out that boutique, you should. They have the cutest stuff!

I have different ways that I like to style and wear kimonos. I like to wear them with jeans and heels or wedges for a night out like I am in these pictures. For a daytime look, I really like to wear them with jean shorts and sandals. When it gets a little warmer outside I also loveeee to pair a kimono with a solid colored crop top tank, high waisted denim shorts, and a good pair of wedges. This look is great for a night out with your friends or even a fun day time event. I also love pairing kimonos over bathing suits. They make for the BEST coverups!!

The kimonos that I have linked for you here all mostly all from Forever 21. They have such a good selection to choose from and the prices are obviously great. I also linked one of my all time favorite ones from Revolve made by Amuse Society. I have also seen some cute ones at Nordstrom and Show Me Your Mumu. If you are looking for a cute kimono, definitely check some of these places out.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. It's halfway over and then we will be in weekend mode! I will be going to Charleston Fashion Week this weekend with 3 of my blogger friends and I cannot wait. Stay tuned for more Instagram and blog posts on that!

Casey Collar Top

Happy Sunday!! I am currently laying on my couch watching all of the snow melt outside. We have had absolutely crazy weather here in Charlotte this weekend. The past few weeks it has been in the 70's and 80's and this weekend we got SNOW. I am still trying to wrap my head around how that is possible. Did everyone have a good weekend?

Sharing with you all one of my favorite outfits. This Casey Collar Top from Show Me Your Mumu is one of my favorite tops from them and it comes in a lot of different prints. I love the one I am wearing here for fall but you could definitely wear it into Spring by pairing it with some white jeans or cut off shorts. They have a new palm print in this top that I posted on my Instagram Friday and I am obsessed with it!!! You can find this print on my "shop the feed" section on the right hand side of my home page. Just click on the picture and it will take you exactly to where you can shop.

Anyone else obsessed with bell bottoms right now?? I am so glad that they have come back in style. I just bought a brand new pair in white for the Spring and Summer and can't wait to wear them. I know  a lot of people have trouble looking for shirts that look good paired with bell bottoms but really anything will go with them. They look great with crop tops, regular tops, bodysuits, tanks, etc. You can really pull off any look with them. I also love how they elongate your legs and make you look so tall.
