The Perfect Match

I CANNOT get over how OBSESSED I am with this whole entire outfit. Sorry for the all caps but it is sooooo true! This is probably one of my favorite outfits that I have ever worn. I have written a post before about how much I love Show Me Your Mumu's Carlos Swing shorts but I will do it again. They are the best shorts hands down that you will ever find. They are high waisted, they are flowy, they look like shorts, but they swing like a skirt. Best of all, they are SO comfy. What more could you ask for in a pair of shorts??

Normally Mumu has a ton of really colorful prints which I usually love. But I do like how the print on these shorts is a little toned down. I love the neutral whites, greens, and blues together. It makes a statement without being too much. And this crochet lace up top. *Insert a ton of heart eye emojis here*. I just CAN'T get over how much I love this top and how perfectly it paired with these shorts. The best part about this top is that it is super comfortable too. I felt like I was wearing pajamas with this whole outfit. Super comfortable but also super cute. This shirt could be worn with so many other bottoms. It would look great with blue jeans, white jeans, jean shorts, a maxi skirt, a denim skirt etc. You name it and it would look great. I really want to wear the top with high waisted white skinny jeans. I think it would look SO good. I love a good all neutral colored outfit for the warmer weather.

I think all of you can tell that I really do love this entire outfit. Sorry for being so annoying about it. :) You will also see me post a ton of other outfits in these shorts but in different prints. Every time Mumu comes out with a new print in these I want to buy them. So this will definitely not be the last time you see these beauties. Now only 2 more days until the weekend!

Dusk Till Dawn Mini Dress

Happy Monday everyone! I am so glad to say that the Monday work day is over. Mondays are always the hardest for me and I'm sure they are for everyone else. It's just a sad reminder that the weekend is already over. I am SO sorry for not posting last night like I normally do. I got back from Charleston Fashion Week and I was exhausted so I unpacked and went to bed really early. CFW was so much fun! I will write a blog post recapping our fun trip either this week or next so definitely keep an eye out for that!

I wanted to talk a little bit about one of my favorite Free People dresses. I am obsessed with everything about this dress. The detailing on it is absolutely gorgeous. It is unlike any dress I have ever seen. I also love how it's a "mini" dress and is perfect for the Spring and Summer. It also has the cutest little tie back as you can see in one of the pictures. I paired this dress with open toe booties but it would be amazing with wedges. I think that any taupe, tan, or gray colored wedges would go perfectly with this. I can't wait to wear it again once it gets warmer outside.

This dress definitely fits true to size. I am a normal size 2 and bought the size 2. I am also a little bit on the bustier side so I was worried about it being way too scandalous on me but it actually fit just right. So if you are on the bustier side, don't worry, you will still be able to pull this off! This dress comes in 3 different colors. There's the lilac color that I am wearing here, a black color, and then a cream and blue. All 3 are gorgeous. It was so hard for me to decide which color to get. This is hands down one of my favorite dresses. I don't think I have ever gotten so many compliments on a dress. Free People is one of my favorite brands because of their unique clothing and style. They definitely did not disappoint when it comes to this dress. AND it's on SALE right now!!!! I found it at Dillard's for 50% off so now is the best time to get it! Everything is linked for you above and below.

My Kimono Obsession

Okay, so let's talk about my obsession with kimonos. I absolutely LOVE them! They are so boho chic and can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, I love how they come in all different lengths, all different colors, all different patterns, and all different fabrics. They are seriously so versatile.

The one I linked here was from https://www.vicicollection.com and unfortunately it is sold out. Their stuff sells out SO fast so if you ever see anything you want from there definitely grab it quickly. If you haven't checked out that boutique, you should. They have the cutest stuff!

I have different ways that I like to style and wear kimonos. I like to wear them with jeans and heels or wedges for a night out like I am in these pictures. For a daytime look, I really like to wear them with jean shorts and sandals. When it gets a little warmer outside I also loveeee to pair a kimono with a solid colored crop top tank, high waisted denim shorts, and a good pair of wedges. This look is great for a night out with your friends or even a fun day time event. I also love pairing kimonos over bathing suits. They make for the BEST coverups!!

The kimonos that I have linked for you here all mostly all from Forever 21. They have such a good selection to choose from and the prices are obviously great. I also linked one of my all time favorite ones from Revolve made by Amuse Society. I have also seen some cute ones at Nordstrom and Show Me Your Mumu. If you are looking for a cute kimono, definitely check some of these places out.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. It's halfway over and then we will be in weekend mode! I will be going to Charleston Fashion Week this weekend with 3 of my blogger friends and I cannot wait. Stay tuned for more Instagram and blog posts on that!

Casey Collar Top

Happy Sunday!! I am currently laying on my couch watching all of the snow melt outside. We have had absolutely crazy weather here in Charlotte this weekend. The past few weeks it has been in the 70's and 80's and this weekend we got SNOW. I am still trying to wrap my head around how that is possible. Did everyone have a good weekend?

Sharing with you all one of my favorite outfits. This Casey Collar Top from Show Me Your Mumu is one of my favorite tops from them and it comes in a lot of different prints. I love the one I am wearing here for fall but you could definitely wear it into Spring by pairing it with some white jeans or cut off shorts. They have a new palm print in this top that I posted on my Instagram Friday and I am obsessed with it!!! You can find this print on my "shop the feed" section on the right hand side of my home page. Just click on the picture and it will take you exactly to where you can shop.

Anyone else obsessed with bell bottoms right now?? I am so glad that they have come back in style. I just bought a brand new pair in white for the Spring and Summer and can't wait to wear them. I know  a lot of people have trouble looking for shirts that look good paired with bell bottoms but really anything will go with them. They look great with crop tops, regular tops, bodysuits, tanks, etc. You can really pull off any look with them. I also love how they elongate your legs and make you look so tall.

Runaway Top

I cannot get enough of this shirt!!! The details on the sleeves are to DIE for. Don't y'all agree? As soon as I saw this Free People top I fell in love and bought it immediately. I love the light blue color for Spring but I also have my eye on the white one as well. The white one would be SO cute paired with some denim cut offs! *insert heart eye emoji here* If you all have been following along with my blog then you know that I loveeeee my crop tops and this one is no exception. The thing I like about this top though is that it isn't super cropped or tight. It sits perfectly on your body. It would definitely be flattering on any figure.

I paired this top with my favorite cropped distressed denim. I have linked many similar pairs for you. Having a good pair of distressed white denim for the Spring & Summer is a must so if you are looking for a good pair definitely check out the ones that I linked. Some are pricey but some are very reasonably priced.

I am sure that you have all seen everyone wearing these Marc Fisher espadrille wedges. If you haven't tried them yet, you should. They are SO comfortable. I have them in brown and gray and they will be my go to shoes for all of Spring. I am even contemplating on getting the black pair hahaha. I am so bad! I also wanted to mention my new Rose Gold Quay sunglasses. I have been wanting a pair of Quay sunglasses for a while now but every pair that I tried just looked so weird on my face. I finally found this pair and LOVE them! The rose gold color is so in right now and these are absolutely perfect. Plus, they are so much cheaper than Ray-Bans and you can't beat the price!

I hope you all enjoyed this look because it is one of my favorites. Free People wins again with this one. Oh yeah, and happy hump day! Only 2 more days until the weekend!!!! :)

Our Trip to Punta Cana!

Happy Monday beautiful people! I wanted to do an Instagram round up for all of my outfits that I posted while we were in the Dominican Republic!

This first outfit was probably one of my favorites. I got so many compliments on these shorts. I have these shorts in a lot of different prints. They are perfectly highwaisted and perfectly flowy. They are shorts but swing like a skirt. They are just to die for. The print I was wearing is unfortunately sold out but I did link a lot of other prints for you. There are some banana leaf ones that are SO cute and perfect for summer! These shorts are perfect paired with any crop top. Some of the prints that I linked are on major sale so make sure to check them out. :)

I bought this second bathing suit right before the trip and it is hands down the most comfortable bathing suit I have ever owned. I will probably only buy Show Me Your Mumu bathing suits from now on (I wish I was kidding!). The fabric on these suits are just so soft and they hug in all the right places. Best of all, they run true to size and are not super small like most swimsuit lines. I wear a true size small. You know how most bathing suit bottoms are too tight and can tend to give you that muffin top affect? Yeah, these don't do that. They are hands down perfect. Their bathing suits also came in many different prints so if you don't like this palm one, there are many others to choose from.

This third bathing suit is the best one piece everrrrr!!!! I am so glad that one pieces are back in style. I absolutely love them. I buy all of my one piece bathing suits from Missguided. They always fit me perfectly (I wear a UK 8 and I am a US size 2). You also can't go wrong with the price. I have never seen a bathing suit from them that is more than $40! You can't beat that. Plus, they have such a great selection. I highly recommend their swimsuits, especially if you are looking for a great one piece.

The last outfit that I wore in the DR is an incredible maxi from Show Me Your Mumu. It laces up in the front and goes low in the back. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. Hands down one of my favorite maxis ever. It is the perfect mix of sexy and casual. I love it paired with these Vanessa Mooney earrings, which by the way I can't get enough of! I have them in sooooo many colors.

We stayed at the Melia Caribe resort in Punta Cana during our trip and it was amazing. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and the beaches there are just to die for. If you are looking to plan your next getaway, I highly recommend this resort. Definitely reach out to me if you have any questions about it!

XOXO,
Katy
